MercyMe is an American contemporary Christian music from Edmond, Oklahoma formed in 1944. The band has 5 members: lead vocalist Bart Millard, percussionist Robby Shaffer, bassist Nathan Cochran and guitarists Michael Scheuchzer and Barry Graul.

The group signed with INO Records in 2001. Since then, MercyMe has released eight additional studio albums (six of which have been certified gold) and a greatest hits album. The band has also had 13 consecutive top five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. Seven of them reached No. 1. MercyMe has won eight Dove Awards and has had many Grammy Award nominations.
