About the Artist:
Petra is the pioneer of the Christian rock and contemporary Christian music genres. The band has been regarded as the “world’s most popular Christian rock band.” Petra took their name from the Greek word for “rock” when they formed in 1972. They dispersed in 2006, but played multiple reunion shows. In 2010 and 2017 the band released two albums. When the band got back together in 2013, a new drummer Cristian Borneo came on. Petra recorded a new song titled “Holy is Your Name”, before going back on tour.
About the Album:
This 1977 classic was the second studio album from Christian Rock band Petra. Now in vinyl re-issue, this album includes Petra’s cover of Argent’s “God Gave Rock and Roll” to You and “Woman Don’t You Know” featuring guest lead vocals from Greg X Volz who would become the band’s front man.
